Below are a selection of projects that Reedhouse Consulting has worked on.
Project: FuGaKyu Restaurant Group

Summary: FuGaKyu is a full-service Japanese Restaurant with locations in Brookline and Sudbury Massachusetts. A third location will be opening in Lynnfield Massachusetts. Currently the Brookline and Sudbury locations have separate and unique websites. With a third location opening in early 2014 FuGaKyu wants to have a consistent web presence for the group. The goal of the project is to create a website that utilizes the same content management software for maintaining the site while having a unique visual presentation for each location. In addition the new system will allow them to easily add other locations in the future.
Services Provided: Consultation, information architecture, requirements documentation, vendor selection and project management. After information architecture was approved I created tools for the client to use for tracking and updating content on the new websites.
Project: Surgisite Boston website redesign

Summary: Surgisite Boston is a modern ambulatory ophthalmology surgery center that is used by 70 ophthalmologists from throughout the Boston Massachusetts area. Surgisite aims to best serve both patients and physicians by acting quickly to adopt new technologies and create a comfortable, accessible environment for treatment. This project involves moving their website to a content management system making it easier for the center to keep their information up to date and interact with patients.
Services Provided: Consultation, information architecture, graphic design, WordPress development. WordPress’s free service was used to quickly prototype the information architecture allowing Surgisite to see the new content organization in action. The content and features from the demo WordPress site were migrated to a self hosted WordPress installation where I designed and developed a simple interface for the site.
Project: MOR Associates website redesign

Summary: MOR Associates, based in Watertown Massachusetts provides customized leadership development programs; custom survey data analysis; leadership coaching; and strategic consulting across the country. The project was to work with the MOR Associates team to re-envision their website so it can support the goals and objectives of their organization.
Services Provided: Consultation, information architecture, requirements documentation and vendor selection. Drupal Garden’s free service was used to quickly prototype the information architecture allowing them to see the new content organization in action. I brought on a graphic designer to translate the requirements into an attractive usable interface and developer to convert the design into a fully functioning website.
Project: Dedham Opthalmic Consultants and Surgeons (DOCS) website redesign

Summary: DOCS is a specialty eye practice in Dedham Massachusetts that provides full service eye care. Their specialties include cataract and glaucoma, diseases of the cornea, retina and vitreous. This project involves moving their website to a content management system making it easier for the practice to keep their information up to date and interact with patients.

Project: National Brain Tumor Society website redesign

Summary: National Brain Tumor Society is a nonprofit organization committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. The project was to work with the NBTS team to re-envision their website and so it better supports the updated mission of their organization.
Services Provided: Consultation, information architecture, requirements documentation and vendor evaluation services. Paper wireframes were created to prototype layout and information hierarchies.
Project: MIT School of Architecture + Planning PLAZmA gallery refresh

Dates: February 2012 – May 2012
Summary: PLAZmA is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning’s digital gallery. Large plasma TV screens are located in several areas on campus. The screens display faculty and student work along event information for the School. The project was to refresh the presentation of faculty and student work plus allow for more flexibility in communication event information. In addition, the backend process for updating PLAZmA was evaluated and streamlined.
Services Provided: Consultation, process evaluation and requirements documentation. I evaluate the existing system and the update process. New features and process were determined. Then I provided full documentation of the required updates to be sent to the development vendor.
